Jacqueline Smalls

Jacqueline Smalls is a Washington, D.C.-based expert in educational innovation and STEM. She is a contributing author of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). She currently serves as Senior Vice President for Corporate and Community Engagement at Transfr.
Transfr provides innovative workplace training and hands-on skill development, to build bridges between schools, workplaces, and governments. This makes jobs more accessible and helps trainees build confidence in their knowledge and abilities.
Ms. Smalls previously served as the Chief Program Officer at Code.org, where she currently serves as a Board member. In addition, she served as the head of programs at Black Girls Code and also led corporate partnerships and professional learning for Discovery Education, impacting tens of thousands of teachers and students across the country.
Smalls earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from South Carolina State University, as well as a master’s degree in Education Instructional Technology from Loyola University Maryland. She served our country in the U.S. Army, where she worked as an environmental scientist.
